HGUC 1/144 Ground Type Gundam [Complete] + Touched Up Dom Tropen

Revel in the greatness of the 08th MS Team. This was a fun project to work on. I almost didn’t want to weather it because it looked so nice and clean. I sprayed a topcoat on it today and used a brush+black soft pastel to lightly weather it. The effect really accents the edges.

I also silver’d on the darker parts.

I sharpened the V fin, it looks MUCH better than before. Comparison with the manual cover here. Also, if you look at the grey bar at the top of the shield, it seems topcoat on the grey paint from the gundam marker makes a rusted gray effect. Not intentional, but it works.

Classic shot of the RX-78 [G]. Now onto the upgraded HGUC 1/144 Dom!

Full topcoat, new monoeye.

The new monoeye is crafted from one of those girly accessory rhindstone sticker things (god, you don’t know how long it took for me to find ones that weren’t diamond cut style). I sanded down the back, threw on a silver coat (to have it shiny from the front) and super glued it on.
