They say time flies when you’re having fun…

So let’s take it slow, 2012. So that we might be able to

Savour every moment of the fun times, to the fullest,

Navigate the harsh rolling waves with a clear, calm mind,

And take note of all the lovely scents from the roadside flowers,

As we pace ourselves in this hectic world.

Timing, in every sense of the word, was never my strong suit;

It’s time for me to change that.

Happy New Year Everyone!

It’s been a long time since my last  t-shirt weather December.

What do you see?

Inaccurate flaws, reflected by an imperfect surface?

Foo you better recognize. Who and what you really are.

B.o.B

Thanks to TD bank, Kingston was graced with a B.o.B concert last week. After 3 hours of opening acts from Team Canada DJs and Mother Mother, the show finally started at 10pm.

I’ve always loved his music, and was BLOWN away by his live performance. He was sick at freestyling, and even held it down acapella. Flawlessly on time, didn’t miss a pitch or a note, and his live performance was just as good as his album recordings. And by god could he keep the crowd hyped. Killer concert with killer company (STEP CREW), followed by a killer Anatomy midterm the next morning.

If you’re into rap and don’t know who B.o.B. is, check him out. Past My Shades is one of my personal favourites.  More photos below.

Team Canada DJs. Wish they played at Kingston’s clubs once a week. Or maybe not, I’d be broke if they did that haha.

Mother Mother, an indy band. They weren’t bad, but I wish the event wasn’t all ages. I’d prefer to have had this vision watching them perform.

This wasp was chilling in my front yard on a pine bush. Couldn’t get to close without it flying away. Since when did wild Beedrills run away?

And you fly all around ’til…

Care for some blues-rock?

Bad Company – Seagull

Seagull, you fly across the horizon
Into the misty morning sun.
Nobody asks you where you are going,
Nobody knows where you’re from.
Here is a man asking the question
Is this really the end of the world?
Seagull, you must have known for a long time
The shape of things to come.
Now you fly, through the sky, never asking why,
And you fly all around ’til somebody, Shoots you down.

Childhood Moment Relived: Nerf Guns

•August 11, 2011 • Leave a Comment

Impulse bought a Nerf Recon Gun on sale the other day (for the record, it’s not really childhood moment relived, I never played with them as a kid…). I went ahead and modified the internals so that it shoots stronger by removing the air restriction thing, and ran around looking for a specific plastic-use spray paint brand (Krylon Fusion) all over the GTA for 3 days. Finally found it in Canadian Tire earlier today.  Silver came from my own Gundam paints because I couldn’t bear spending $8 on a can of metallic spray paint. I like the look though.

Found out WongFu has a thing full black painted Nerf guns shortly after deciding to paint it. Now that it’s painted, I just want to say I hate spray paint in a can; control is absolutely terrible. Then again, with something as crude as this (in comparison to Gundam, at least), all I cared about was covering the bright yellow and orange haha. The paint makes the cocking mechanism less smooth though :/

Oh and the air chamber mechanism which makes the foam darts fly is so strong now, it tears the darts at the tails. Relative to the other casual shooting-type hobby/activities, I still think airsoft > paintball = nerf though…

MG Wing ver. Ka [Operation Pink Meteor]

If cupid replaced his bow with a Gundam… Maybe this is what he’d get.

Those decals were tedious, but well worth the effort. Oh and stupid me, I picked up the new MG Wing waterslide decals instead of the old ver.Ka decals. Well, they’re pretty similar anyways.

The shield probably benefited the most from decalwork.

Being a somewhat older kit… They didn’t design the hand in such a way that it can hold the gun properly haha. So I used a bottle of paint to hold up the gun for this shot.

Okay, I got off my lazy ass and took out the tripod. Any blurry crap you see now is purely a reflection of my lack of skill haha.

And here’s the other one I finished, but am not ready to reveal in it’s entirety yet.
